Aloe Vera: How to extract the gel from Aloe Vera plant?

Aloe Vera is known as a medical plant. It is used in cosmetics for our skin care, as well as consumed in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Aloe Vera originally grown in the Arabian Peninsula, however in our days, the plant is known to be available in all countries, and most of the household know about the benefits of the Aloe Vera plant or even own their own Aloe Vera.
The plant is easy to grow whether in a pot, or on the ground, easy to spread, with minimal care. The minimum requirements to grow them successfully is water, soil and sun. Once the plant starts to grow and becomes mature, it indicates the availability of the gel from the leaves, which makes the plant heavy and may grow out of pot or fall from the pot. The leaves are solid and filled with a transparent gel.
In the cosmetics care Aloe Vera is known for its benefits in:
- Prevents Wrinkles
- Improve Skin Condition
- The gel that the Aloe Vera plants produce is rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants.
Aloe Vera is also used in pharmaceutical and food industries due to health benefits:
- It helps in weight loss
- Reduce hair fall
- Lower blood sugar
- Treat wounds, sunburns
- Treat constipation
- Heartburn benefits
- Reduce dental plaque
on the other hand, the side effects of Aloe Vera is that it may produce cramps and diarheea.
I love to use it, externally, for my skin care, especially for my face. It makes me feel younger and reduce my wrinkles. The gel is an important source of collagen for my skin. I am not so into any products that invaded in the market place, that just come out for the main purpose of making money.
I used to cut the leaves of Aloe Vera horizontally and scrub on my face directly. However the leaves creates a bit discomfort which you may feel some itchiness.
Consequentially, i always look for more methods on how to get the gel easier from the plant. Some suggested me to buy direct from shops which is affordable, but my concern is not the price, my concern is the natural feeling.
Other methods i found is to cut the leaves and to take out the transparent layer and blend it with the help of the blender. Finally, i found a more easy method by extracting the aloe vera gel direct from the leave, with the help of a syringe.
By using this method i manage to reduce to zero the itchy effect on the skin and enjoy it everyday. You may watch the video below to see how i extract the gel from the Aloe Vera leaves.
The Aloe Vera Gel should be stored in the refrigerator and can least for at least10 days.
